WELCOME TO LARA'S ART ACADEMY

My name is Lara O'Keeffe. I was born in Echuca, Victoria and moved to Melbourne at 18 to study art. I have always had a passion for art, which I share with my mum and 2 daughters. When my kids were in primary school I offered to teach an art workshop in my daughter's class and from then I discovered my love for teaching kids. These workshops expanded across multiple years over different classes and eventually, I was approached by parents to offer private lessons. This is how Lara's Art Academy began. Over 4 years my little business grew and I had a beautiful family of kids with a shared love of all things art. Unfortunately covid hit, and so for the safety of myself and my students my classes were put on hold. Now I have decided it's time to reopen Lara's Art Academy!

I would love to have the opportunity to share this passion once again with kids of any age. I strive to provide them with the tools to express themselves in a creative manner to find the joy in art.  All abilities and skill level are welcome :)
